Ingredients
- Organic lemons 1 pc.
- Oranges 1 pc.
- Brown sugar 1 tbsp.
- Gin 30 ml
- Orange juice 150 ml
- Ice cubes 3 tbsp.
- Mineral water, classic 100 ml
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the lemon and orange under hot water.
- 2. Peel a thin strip of zest from both fruits using a vegetable peeler.
- 3. Cut the fruits in half and squeeze out the juice.
- 4. Pour the lemon juice into a pot.
- 5. Add water if necessary until you have exactly 20 ml of lemon juice.
- 6. Add sugar and stir.
- 7. Bring the mixture to a boil while stirring.
- 8. Continue boiling until the sugar is completely dissolved and the syrup looks clear.
- 9. Let the syrup cool down.
- 10. Place the syrup in the refrigerator.
- 11. Pour 30 ml of the cooled sugar syrup into a cocktail shaker.
- 12. Add gin and orange juice.
- 13. Add ice cubes to the shaker.
- 14. Shake the mixture vigorously.
- 15. Strain the contents into a long drink glass.
- 16. Top up the drink with chilled mineral water.
- 17. Garnish the cocktail with the lemon and orange peels you set aside earlier.
- 18. Enjoy the drink immediately.
