Ingredients
- cherries, fresh 1 kg
- water 500 ml
- sugar 160 g
- vanilla sugar 2 packets
- cinnamon pinch
- wheat flour, Type 405 4 tbsp
Instructions
- 1. Wash the cherries thoroughly.
- 2. Remove the stems from the cherries.
- 3. Pit the cherries if you wish.
- 4. Place the cherries in a pot.
- 5. Add water, 150 grams of sugar, and one packet of vanilla sugar.
- 6. Let the mixture boil for about 10 minutes.
- 7. Add cinnamon to the compote.
- 8. Take a bowl for the dough.
- 9. Add wheat flour to the bowl.
- 10. Add one tablespoon of sugar.
- 11. Add one packet of vanilla sugar.
- 12. Add about 6 tablespoons of water.
- 13. Mix everything into a thick mass.
- 14. Ensure the mass remains slightly sticky.
- 15. Add more flour or water if needed.
- 16. Let the compote simmer.
- 17. Form small pieces of dough, about 1 to 2 centimeters in size.
- 18. Add the dough pieces to the simmering compote.
- 19. Let the dumplings cook for another 2 to 3 minutes.
- 20. Remove the pot from the hot stove immediately.
- 21. This prevents the dumplings from falling apart.
- 22. Serve the dish warm or cold.
