  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat.
  2. 2. Line a springform pan with baking paper.
  3. 3. Wash the lemon and orange thoroughly under hot water.
  4. 4. Grate about one teaspoon of fine zest from each fruit.
  5. 5. Cut the citrus fruits in half and squeeze out the juice.
  6. 6. Beat the eggs and sugar in a bowl with a hand mixer until frothy.
  7. 7. Stir in four tablespoons of the citrus fruit juice into the egg mixture.
  8. 8. Sift flour, baking powder, and vanilla sugar into the bowl one after the other.
  9. 9. Mix olive oil and milk in a separate container.
  10. 10. Stir the oil and milk mixture into the batter in a thin stream.
  11. 11. Pour the batter into the prepared springform and smooth the surface.
  12. 12. Bake the cake in the oven for about 60 minutes until golden brown.
  13. 13. Let the cake cool on a wire rack and carefully remove it from the pan.
  14. 14. Mix powdered sugar with the previously grated lemon and orange zest.
  15. 15. Dust the sugar mixture evenly over the cooled cake.
  16. 16. Cut the cake into pieces and serve.
