  1. 1. Drain the olives and capers in a sieve to let the liquid run off.
  2. 2. Wash the parsley and shake it dry.
  3. 3. Pick the parsley leaves off the stems and chop them finely.
  4. 4. Peel the garlic and chop it finely as well.
  5. 5. Slice the baguette into even slices.
  6. 6. Place the drained olives, capers, and garlic into a tall container.
  7. 7. Blend the ingredients with a hand blender until you have a smooth paste.
  8. 8. Stir the chopped parsley and 2 tablespoons of olive oil into the paste.
  9. 9. Season the mixture with salt and pepper to taste.
  10. 10. Heat a pan over medium heat and add 2 tablespoons of olive oil.
  11. 11. Toast the baguette slices for about 3 minutes on each side until crispy.
  12. 12. Spread the olive paste generously over the toasted slices.
  13. 13. Arrange the crostini on a plate and serve.
