  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 220 degrees Celsius with convection.
  2. 2. Wash the tomatoes thoroughly.
  3. 3. Cut off the top lids of the tomatoes.
  4. 4. Carefully hollow out the inside of the tomatoes.
  5. 5. Leave a rim of about one centimeter thickness.
  6. 6. Finely chop the removed tomato flesh.
  7. 7. Cut the onion in half.
  8. 8. Peel the onion.
  9. 9. Dice the onion finely.
  10. 10. Peel the garlic.
  11. 11. Chop the garlic.
  12. 12. Drain the beans in a sieve.
  13. 13. Heat oil in a pot over high heat.
  14. 14. Sauté the onions and garlic for about one minute.
  15. 15. Add the minced meat to the pot.
  16. 16. Fry the meat for about five minutes until it is crumbly.
  17. 17. Add the chopped tomato flesh to the pot.
  18. 18. Let the mixture simmer for about four minutes.
  19. 19. Season with salt, pepper, sugar, and thyme.
  20. 20. Stir the beans into the filling.
  21. 21. Place the hollowed tomatoes in a baking dish.
  22. 22. Fill the tomatoes with the minced meat mixture.
  23. 23. Bake the tomatoes in the oven for about twenty minutes.
  24. 24. After ten minutes of baking time, place the tomato tops back on.
  25. 25. Serve the stuffed tomatoes on plates.
