  1. 1. Dissolve the yeast in 80 grams of sugar and the water.
  2. 2. Add the flour, vanilla extract, salt, and 220 grams of milk.
  3. 3. Add one egg and 100 grams of soft butter.
  4. 4. Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until it is smooth and elastic.
  5. 5. Shape the dough into a ball.
  6. 6. Lightly spray the ball with non-stick cooking spray.
  7. 7. Let the dough rise covered for about 1 hour until it has doubled in size.
  8. 8. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat.
  9. 9. Halve the plums and remove the pits.
  10. 10. Mix the plums with brown sugar, cinnamon, and one tablespoon of lemon juice.
  11. 11. Place the plums in an ovenproof dish.
  12. 12. Roast the plums in the preheated oven at 180 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes.
  13. 13. Divide the yeast dough into 16 equal portions.
  14. 14. Shape each portion into a small ball.
  15. 15. Grease a large baking pan with some butter.
  16. 16. Grease your hands with a little butter as well.
  17. 17. Flatten the dough balls into ovals.
  18. 18. Roll the ovals slightly.
  19. 19. Place the rolls side by side in the baking pan.
  20. 20. Mix one egg with 15 grams of milk and 15 grams of sugar.
  21. 21. Brush the rolls with the egg mixture.
  22. 22. Let the rolls rise covered for another 30 minutes.
  23. 23. Bake the rolls in the hot oven at 170 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes.
  24. 24. Serve the warm rolls with the roasted plums.
