Ingredients

Instructions

  1. 1. Preheat a baking sheet without paper in the oven to 250 °C (top/bottom heat) and place the wooden skewers in water. Rinse the turkey breast, pat dry and cut into approx. 2 cm cubes. Halve the lime and squeeze out the juice. Peel the garlic and chop finely.
  2. 2. For the marinade, mix half of the yogurt, the chopped garlic, chili powder, 1 tbsp lime juice and salt in a bowl. Add the meat, mix well and let it marinate for approx. 10 minutes.
  3. 3. In the meantime, bring the broth to a boil in a pot and then remove from the heat. Stir in the couscous and let it swell covered for approx. 10 minutes. Fluff with a fork and stir in 1 tbsp butter.
  4. 4. Meanwhile, heat the oil in a pan over medium heat. Coarsely chop the almonds and roast them in the oil with a pinch of salt and sugar for approx. 2 minutes until golden brown. Let the almonds drain on kitchen paper.
  5. 5. Thread the marinated meat cubes onto the soaked skewers, carefully place them on the hot tray and grill in the upper third of the oven for approx. 10–12 minutes. Turn the skewers after approx. 5 minutes.
  6. 6. Peel the cucumber, quarter lengthwise, remove the seeds and cut diagonally into pieces. Wash the parsley, shake dry, pluck the leaves from the stems and chop coarsely. Add both to the couscous and season with 1–2 tsp lime juice, salt and pepper.
  7. 7. Season the remaining yogurt in a cup with some lime juice, salt, pepper and sugar. Remove the turkey skewers from the oven and serve on plates together with the couscous and yogurt. Sprinkle with almonds and serve. Enjoy your meal!
