  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat.
  2. 2. Wash the white asparagus, peel it, and cut off the woody ends.
  3. 3. Wash the green asparagus, cut off the woody ends, and peel the bottom third.
  4. 4. Wash the thyme and shake it dry.
  5. 5. Wash the lemon, grate about one teaspoon of zest, and squeeze out the juice.
  6. 6. Line a baking sheet with baking paper.
  7. 7. Place the asparagus, thyme, olive oil, and lemon zest on the tray.
  8. 8. Season everything with salt and pepper.
  9. 9. Bake the asparagus in the oven for about 25 minutes.
  10. 10. Meanwhile, heat a pan without fat on high heat.
  11. 11. Roast the hazelnuts in the pan for about 3 minutes.
  12. 12. Roughly chop the roasted hazelnuts.
  13. 13. Wash the basil and shake it dry.
  14. 14. Pluck the basil leaves and chop them roughly.
  15. 15. Carefully remove the asparagus from the oven.
  16. 16. Garnish the asparagus with the basil and hazelnuts.
  17. 17. Serve the dish and enjoy your meal.
