- powdered sugar 125 g
- salt pinch
- eggs 2 pcs
- wheat flour, type 405 300 g
- baking powder 2 tsp
- nut-nougat cream 100 g
Instructions
- 1. Mix the soft butter, powdered sugar, and a pinch of salt in a bowl with a hand mixer until the mixture is creamy and fluffy.
- 2. Add the eggs one by one and mix each one briefly into the butter mixture.
- 3. Mix the flour and baking powder in a separate bowl.
- 4. Fold the flour mixture into the dough until no dry spots remain.
- 5. If the dough seems too crumbly, add a little cold water gradually until it holds together.
- 6. Wrap the dough in cling film and place it in the refrigerator for at least two hours.
- 7. Preheat the oven to 175 degrees Celsius (convection mode).
- 8. Lightly flour your work surface and roll out the dough to a thickness of about four millimeters.
- 9. Use a star-shaped cookie cutter (approx. 5 cm diameter) to cut out stars from the dough.
- 10. Place the stars on baking sheets lined with baking paper.
- 11. Bake the stars in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes until they are light golden brown.
- 12. Remove the trays from the oven and let the stars cool down for a short while.
- 13. Stir the nut nougat cream in a bowl until smooth, if it still has lumps.
- 14. Take half of the cooled stars and place a small dollop of nut nougat cream on each one.
- 15. Cover the filled stars with the remaining stars to form sandwiches.
- 16. Decorate the tips of the stars with a little extra cream as desired.
- 17. Store the finished stars in an airtight container.
