  1. 1. Preheat your oven to 180 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat.
  2. 2. Grease a loaf pan with baking spray or butter.
  3. 3. Make sure all ingredients are at room temperature.
  4. 4. Use self-raising flour and omit the baking powder if you were planning to use it.
  5. 5. Mix the soft butter with the sugar, a pinch of salt, and vanilla extract for 4 to 5 minutes until the mixture is white and creamy.
  6. 6. Add one egg at a time to the butter mixture.
  7. 7. Stir each egg in for one minute until the mixture is homogeneous.
  8. 8. Add the flour, baking powder, ground hazelnuts, 100 grams of chopped hazelnuts, chocolate sprinkles, and milk.
  9. 9. Mix the ingredients only briefly until they have just combined.
  10. 10. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking pan.
  11. 11. Smooth the surface of the batter.
  12. 12. Bake the cake in the preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 45 to 50 minutes.
  13. 13. Perform a skewer test to check if the cake is done.
  14. 14. Remove the cake from the oven.
  15. 15. Let the cake cool in the pan for about 10 minutes.
  16. 16. Turn the cake out onto a cooling rack.
  17. 17. Let the cake cool completely.
  18. 18. Place the cooled cake with the cooling rack over a plate or baking sheet.
  19. 19. Melt about two-thirds of the dark chocolate coating over a warm, non-boiling water bath or in the microwave.
  20. 20. Stir in the remaining third of the coating until everything is melted.
  21. 21. Add the coconut oil and stir it in.
  22. 22. Pour the chocolate glaze over the cake.
  23. 23. Spread the glaze evenly over the surface of the cake.
  24. 24. Pick up dripping glaze with a brush and paint it along the edge of the cake.
  25. 25. Melt the hazelnut chocolate over a warm water bath as well.
