  1. 1. Fill a large pot with about 5 liters of water and add salt. Cover the pot and bring the water to a boil.
  2. 2. Halve an onion, peel it, and cut it into small cubes.
  3. 3. Peel a clove of garlic and chop it finely.
  4. 4. Halve a lemon and squeeze out the juice.
  5. 5. Thoroughly wash a head of broccoli under running water.
  6. 6. Separate the broccoli into small florets.
  7. 7. Remove the tough skin from the broccoli stem and chop it roughly.
  8. 8. Melt 4 tablespoons of margarine in a pot over medium heat.
  9. 9. Add the chopped onions and minced garlic to the melted margarine.
  10. 10. Sauté the vegetables for about 2 minutes until they are translucent and colorless.
  11. 11. Add flour and stir well to combine it with the fat.
  12. 12. Toast the flour mixture lightly for about 1 minute.
  13. 13. Deglaze the mixture with soy drink and mix everything well.
  14. 14. Let the sauce simmer gently for about 5 minutes.
  15. 15. Stir turmeric and vegan grated cheese substitute into the sauce.
  16. 16. Continue stirring until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
  17. 17. Season the sauce to taste with salt, pepper, and the squeezed lemon juice.
  18. 18. Add the pasta to the boiling salted water.
  19. 19. Cook the pasta for about 9 minutes until al dente (firm to the bite).
  20. 20. Add the broccoli after about 4 minutes of the pasta's cooking time.
  21. 21. Cook the broccoli along with the pasta for another 5 minutes.
  22. 22. Chop almonds roughly.
  23. 23. Heat 2 tablespoons of margarine in a frying pan over medium heat.
  24. 24. Add the chopped almonds and breadcrumbs to the hot pan.
  25. 25. Fry the mixture for about 2 to 3 minutes until crispy.
  26. 26. Drain the pasta and broccoli in a colander.
  27. 27. Portion the pasta and broccoli onto plates.
  28. 28. Pour the vegan cheese sauce over the pasta.
  29. 29. Sprinkle the crispy almonds on top.
  30. 30. Serve the dish immediately and enjoy your meal!
