🍽️ Melon Caprese with Ham

Ingredients
- Prosciutto di Parma 8 slices
- Buffalo mozzarella 1 pc.
- Cantaloupe melon 0.5 pc.
- Basil, fresh 20 g
- Balsamic vinegar, light 2 tbsp
- Honey 2 tbsp
- Olive oil 4 tbsp
- Salt pinch
- Pepper, black ground pinch
Instructions
- 1. Take the ham and mozzarella out of the fridge to let them reach room temperature.
- 2. Remove the seeds from the melon half using a spoon.
- 3. Peel the melon.
- 4. Form small balls from the melon using a melon baller.
- 5. Alternatively, cut the melon into approx. 1 cm cubes.
- 6. Wash the basil.
- 7. Shake the basil dry.
- 8. Set aside some nice basil tips for decoration.
- 9. Pluck the remaining basil leaves.
- 10. Chop the remaining basil leaves finely.
- 11. Mix balsamic vinegar, honey, and the chopped basil in a bowl.
- 12. Drizzle in olive oil while stirring.
- 13. Season the dressing with salt and pepper.
- 14. Add the melon to the dressing.
- 15. Set the bowl aside to let the melon absorb the flavors.
- 16. Tear the mozzarella into small pieces with your hands.
- 17. Distribute the mozzarella onto four glasses.
- 18. Season the mozzarella lightly with salt and pepper.
- 19. Place the marinated melon on top of the cheese.
- 20. Place the ham on top of the melon.
- 21. Garnish the dish with the reserved basil tips.
- 22. Serve the melon caprese.
