🍽️ Mediterranean Pork Schnitzel

Ingredients
- basil, fresh 10 g
- pork schnitzel from the top round of pork 4 pcs.
- sea salt pinch
- pepper, black ground pinch
- parma ham 150 g
- olive oil 1 tbsp
Instructions
- 1. Thoroughly wash the basil under running water.
- 2. Dry the basil leaves with a kitchen towel.
- 3. Carefully separate the basil leaves from the stems.
- 4. Rinse the pork schnitzels under cold water.
- 5. Dry the schnitzels with a kitchen towel.
- 6. Pound the schnitzels flat by striking them evenly with the bottom of a saucepan handle.
- 7. Season the schnitzels with salt and pepper.
- 8. Place two basil leaves on each schnitzel.
- 9. Place a slice of Parma ham on top of the basil leaves.
- 10. Secure the layers with a toothpick.
- 11. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a frying pan.
- 12. Fry the schnitzels first on the meat side for about 3 minutes.
- 13. Turn the schnitzels and fry them for another 2 minutes.
- 14. Serve the Mediterranean pork schnitzels on plates.
