🍽️ Mediterranean Ham Rolls

Ingredients
- garlic cloves 2 pcs
- tomato paste 4 tbsp
- herbs of Provence, dried 1 tbsp
- salt pinch
- pepper, black ground pinch
- sugar 1 tsp
- minute steaks from pork 600 g
- Serrano ham 8 slices
- oil 2 tbsp
Instructions
- 1. Peel the garlic and chop it very finely.
- 2. Put the tomato paste into a bowl.
- 3. Add the chopped garlic.
- 4. Add the Herbs de Provence to the bowl.
- 5. Season the mixture with salt.
- 6. Season the mixture with pepper.
- 7. Add a little sugar.
- 8. Mix all ingredients in the bowl thoroughly.
- 9. Rinse the meat steaks under cold water.
- 10. Pat the steaks dry with a kitchen towel.
- 11. Place a steak between two layers of cling film.
- 12. Gently pound the meat flat until it is thin.
- 13. Use the cling film to avoid tearing the meat.
- 14. Spread the tomato paste mixture over one side of the flat steak.
- 15. Place a slice of ham on the coated side.
- 16. Turn the steak so that the ham is facing downwards.
- 17. Roll the steak up tightly.
- 18. Secure the roll with a toothpick.
- 19. Put the oil into a frying pan.
- 20. Heat the oil over medium heat.
- 21. Place the ham rolls into the hot pan.
- 22. Fry the rolls for about 5 minutes on all sides.
- 23. Remove the pan from the stove.
- 24. Cover the pan.
- 25. Let the meat rest for about 3 minutes in the hot pan.
- 26. Then serve the rolls.
