  1. 1. Pat the cod fillet dry with a kitchen towel.
  2. 2. Cut the fish into cubes.
  3. 3. Wash the lemon thoroughly.
  4. 4. Cut the lemon in half.
  5. 5. Squeeze out the juice.
  6. 6. Rinse the thyme.
  7. 7. Dry the herb.
  8. 8. Pluck the leaves off the stems.
  9. 9. Place the cod cubes in a bowl.
  10. 10. Add the thyme.
  11. 11. Add the lemon juice.
  12. 12. Season the mixture with salt.
  13. 13. Mix everything well.
  14. 14. Place the wooden skewers in water.
  15. 15. Let them soak.
  16. 16. Cut the bacon into coarse cubes.
  17. 17. Halve the onions.
  18. 18. Peel the onions.
  19. 19. Dice the onions coarsely.
  20. 20. Wash the bell peppers.
  21. 21. Remove the stem of the bell pepper.
  22. 22. Remove the seeds.
  23. 23. Cut the bell pepper into coarse pieces.
  24. 24. Thread bacon, bell pepper, and onions onto the skewers alternately.
  25. 25. Thread the fish onto the skewers as well.
  26. 26. Brush the skewers with some oil.
  27. 27. Place the skewers on aluminum foil.
  28. 28. Grill them for about 10 minutes over medium heat.
  29. 29. Turn the skewers regularly.
  30. 30. Alternatively, heat a pan over medium to high heat.
  31. 31. Fry the skewers all around.
  32. 32. Cook them for approx. 10 minutes.
