🍽️ Mediterranean Skewers with Cod, Bacon, and Bell Peppers

Ingredients
- Cod loin fillet 500 g
- Lemons 1 pc.
- Thyme, fresh 5 g
- Salt pinch
- Bacon 100 g
- Onions, yellow 1 pc.
- Peppers, red 2 pc.
- Peppers, yellow 2 pc.
- Sunflower oil 4 tbsp
Instructions
- 1. Pat the cod fillet dry with a kitchen towel.
- 2. Cut the fish into cubes.
- 3. Wash the lemon thoroughly.
- 4. Cut the lemon in half.
- 5. Squeeze out the juice.
- 6. Rinse the thyme.
- 7. Dry the herb.
- 8. Pluck the leaves off the stems.
- 9. Place the cod cubes in a bowl.
- 10. Add the thyme.
- 11. Add the lemon juice.
- 12. Season the mixture with salt.
- 13. Mix everything well.
- 14. Place the wooden skewers in water.
- 15. Let them soak.
- 16. Cut the bacon into coarse cubes.
- 17. Halve the onions.
- 18. Peel the onions.
- 19. Dice the onions coarsely.
- 20. Wash the bell peppers.
- 21. Remove the stem of the bell pepper.
- 22. Remove the seeds.
- 23. Cut the bell pepper into coarse pieces.
- 24. Thread bacon, bell pepper, and onions onto the skewers alternately.
- 25. Thread the fish onto the skewers as well.
- 26. Brush the skewers with some oil.
- 27. Place the skewers on aluminum foil.
- 28. Grill them for about 10 minutes over medium heat.
- 29. Turn the skewers regularly.
- 30. Alternatively, heat a pan over medium to high heat.
- 31. Fry the skewers all around.
- 32. Cook them for approx. 10 minutes.
