🍽️ Juicy Meatballs with Creamy Tomato Sauce

Ingredients
- onions, yellow 2 pcs.
- garlic cloves 1 pcs.
- ground beef 600 g
- eggs 1 pcs.
- breadcrumbs 2 tbsp
- ketchup 2 tbsp
- salt 1 pinch
- pepper, black ground 1 pinch
- olive oil 2 tbsp
- tomato paste 3 tbsp
- vegetable broth 500 ml
- spaghetti 500 g
- tomatoes, chopped 400 g
- herbs of Provence, dried 1 tsp
- sugar 1 tsp
- basil, fresh 10 g
- parmesan, grated 4 tbsp
Instructions
- 1. Halve one onion and peel it. Peel the garlic clove. Put both ingredients into the mixing container. Insert the measuring cup. Chop the ingredients for 6 seconds on speed 6.
- 2. Scrape down the chopped onions with a spatula. Add the minced meat, egg, breadcrumbs, ketchup, salt, and pepper to the container. Mix everything for 45 seconds on the kneading setting. Shape walnut-sized balls with damp hands. Place the balls in the deep steam cooking insert. Clean the mixing container thoroughly.
- 3. Chop the remaining onion in the cleaned container for 5 seconds on speed 6. Press the onions against the inner wall. Add the olive oil. Fry the mixture for 2 minutes on the frying setting without the measuring cup. Stir in the tomato paste. Simmer it for another 2 minutes on the frying setting. Top up the sauce with vegetable broth.
- 4. Close the steam cooking insert with the lid. Cook the meatballs for 25 minutes on the steam cooking setting. Bring about 5 liters of salted water to a boil in a pot. Cook the spaghetti in the boiling water for approx. 9 minutes al dente.
- 5. Remove the steam cooking insert. Let the meatballs rest covered. Add the chopped tomatoes and Herbs de Provence to the mixing container. Puree the ingredients for 4 seconds on speed 5. Reduce the sauce for 7 minutes on speed 1 at 100 °C without the measuring cup. Season the tomato sauce with salt, pepper, and sugar.
- 6. Wash the basil and dry it. Pluck off the leaves and chop them roughly. Plate the spaghetti. Serve with the tomato sauce and meatballs. Garnish the dish with Parmesan and fresh basil. Enjoy your meal!
