🍽️ Make-ahead Waldorf Salad

Ingredients
- celeriac 400 g
- celery stalks 2 pcs
- apples, green 2 pcs
- white grapes 200 g
- walnut kernels 70 g
- sour cream Greek style 150 g
- mayonnaise 50 g
- lemon juice 2 tbsp
- honey 1 tbsp
- salt pinch
- pepper, black ground pinch
Instructions
- 1. Peel the celery stalks and slice them thinly.
- 2. Cut the celery slices into fine strips.
- 3. Wash the celery stalks thoroughly.
- 4. Slice the washed celery stalks.
- 5. Roughly chop the green leafy tops of the celery.
- 6. Wash the apples.
- 7. Core the apples.
- 8. Slice the apples thinly.
- 9. Wash the grapes.
- 10. Halve the grapes.
- 11. Toast the walnuts in a pan without oil until golden brown.
- 12. Place the Greek yogurt in a small bowl.
- 13. Add the mayonnaise to the yogurt.
- 14. Add the lemon juice.
- 15. Add the honey.
- 16. Season with salt and pepper.
- 17. Stir the mixture until a creamy dressing forms.
- 18. Pour the dressing as the first layer into a large jar.
- 19. Layer the cut celery over the dressing.
- 20. Layer the celery stalks on top.
- 21. Layer the grapes on top.
- 22. Layer the apple slices on top.
- 23. Add the toasted walnuts as the final layer.
- 24. Seal the jar tightly.
- 25. Store the jar in the refrigerator until you are ready to eat the salad.
- 26. Shake the jar gently before serving.
- 27. Distribute the salad onto bowls.
