🍰 Crunchy Marzipan Stars

Ingredients
- Marzipan base 100 g
- butter 150 g
- Sugar 80 g
- Salt Pinch
- Wheat flour, Type 405 200 g
- Baking powder 1 tsp
- Almonds, whole 90 g
- Eggs 1 pc.
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 175 degrees Celsius with fan setting.
- 2. Cut the marzipan into small cubes.
- 3. Mix the marzipan cubes in a bowl with cubed butter, sugar, a pinch of salt, flour, and baking powder.
- 4. Place the dough in the refrigerator for about 2 hours to let it firm up.
- 5. Lightly dust a work surface with flour and roll out the dough to a thickness of about 1 centimeter.
- 6. Cut out star shapes from the dough and place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
- 7. Finely chop the almonds.
- 8. Separate the egg and whisk only the egg yolk in a small bowl.
- 9. Brush the stars carefully with the egg yolk.
- 10. Press the chopped almonds onto the egg-brushed stars.
- 11. Bake the stars for about 20 minutes in the preheated oven.
- 12. Let the stars cool down and store them in an airtight container.
