  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 175 degrees Celsius with fan setting.
  2. 2. Cut the marzipan into small cubes.
  3. 3. Mix the marzipan cubes in a bowl with cubed butter, sugar, a pinch of salt, flour, and baking powder.
  4. 4. Place the dough in the refrigerator for about 2 hours to let it firm up.
  5. 5. Lightly dust a work surface with flour and roll out the dough to a thickness of about 1 centimeter.
  6. 6. Cut out star shapes from the dough and place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
  7. 7. Finely chop the almonds.
  8. 8. Separate the egg and whisk only the egg yolk in a small bowl.
  9. 9. Brush the stars carefully with the egg yolk.
  10. 10. Press the chopped almonds onto the egg-brushed stars.
  11. 11. Bake the stars for about 20 minutes in the preheated oven.
  12. 12. Let the stars cool down and store them in an airtight container.
