🍰 Crunchy Marzipan Hearts with Pistachios

Ingredients
- eggs 1 pc
- pistachios 120 g
- marzipan raw mass 200 g
- wheat flour, Type 405 1 tbsp
- white coating chocolate 100 g
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 220 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat.
- 2. Separate the egg and save the yolk for another recipe.
- 3. Finely chop the pistachios.
- 4. Mix the marzipan raw mass, 100 grams of pistachios, and the egg white in a bowl until you have a smooth dough.
- 5. Roll out the dough on a slightly floured surface to a thickness of about 0.5 centimeters.
- 6. Cut out hearts with a diameter of 3 to 5 centimeters from the dough.
- 7. Place the marzipan hearts on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
- 8. Bake the hearts in the oven for about 5 minutes.
- 9. Let the baked hearts cool completely on a wire rack.
- 10. Bring water to a boil in a pot.
- 11. Chop the coating chocolate and place it in a heatproof bowl.
- 12. Melt the coating chocolate over the hot water bath by holding the bowl over the pot with the hot water.
- 13. Dip the cooled marzipan hearts into the melted coating chocolate.
- 14. Let the excess chocolate drip off the hearts.
- 15. Sprinkle the wet hearts with the remaining pistachios.
- 16. Place the hearts on a fresh baking sheet lined with baking paper.
- 17. Let the hearts dry for about 10 minutes until the chocolate is firm.
- 18. Serve the finished marzipan hearts and enjoy!
