  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 220 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat.
  2. 2. Separate the egg and save the yolk for another recipe.
  3. 3. Finely chop the pistachios.
  4. 4. Mix the marzipan raw mass, 100 grams of pistachios, and the egg white in a bowl until you have a smooth dough.
  5. 5. Roll out the dough on a slightly floured surface to a thickness of about 0.5 centimeters.
  6. 6. Cut out hearts with a diameter of 3 to 5 centimeters from the dough.
  7. 7. Place the marzipan hearts on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
  8. 8. Bake the hearts in the oven for about 5 minutes.
  9. 9. Let the baked hearts cool completely on a wire rack.
  10. 10. Bring water to a boil in a pot.
  11. 11. Chop the coating chocolate and place it in a heatproof bowl.
  12. 12. Melt the coating chocolate over the hot water bath by holding the bowl over the pot with the hot water.
  13. 13. Dip the cooled marzipan hearts into the melted coating chocolate.
  14. 14. Let the excess chocolate drip off the hearts.
  15. 15. Sprinkle the wet hearts with the remaining pistachios.
  16. 16. Place the hearts on a fresh baking sheet lined with baking paper.
  17. 17. Let the hearts dry for about 10 minutes until the chocolate is firm.
