🍰 Crunchy Marzipan Almond Bites

Ingredients
- Almonds, whole, blanched 6 tbsp
- Powdered sugar 150 g
- Cornstarch 30 g
- Marzipan raw mass 400 g
- Eggs 2 pcs
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 175 degrees Celsius using top and bottom heat.
- 2. Cut the almonds in half lengthwise.
- 3. Sift the powdered sugar into a bowl.
- 4. Add the starch to the sifted powdered sugar and mix well.
- 5. Chop the marzipan base into small pieces.
- 6. Separate the eggs so you have the egg whites and yolks apart.
- 7. Whip the egg whites until stiff peaks form.
- 8. Gently fold the stiffly whipped egg whites into the marzipan mixture.
- 9. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
- 10. Use two teaspoons to form small mounds from the marzipan mixture.
- 11. Place the mounds on the tray, ensuring there is enough space between them.
- 12. Whisk the egg yolk in a small bowl.
- 13. Brush each marzipan mound with the whisked egg yolk.
- 14. Press half an almond gently into each mound.
- 15. Put the tray in the oven and bake the bites for about 15 minutes.
