  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat.
  2. 2. Crumble the marzipan into small pieces.
  3. 3. Let the cherries drain well in a sieve.
  4. 4. Chop the almonds coarsely.
  5. 5. Mix butter, sugar, and salt in a bowl with a hand mixer until the mixture is creamy.
  6. 6. Add the eggs one by one and mix them in well.
  7. 7. Combine the flour and baking powder.
  8. 8. Stir the flour mixture and 150 milliliters of milk into the batter.
  9. 9. Remove half of the batter and fold in the cherries.
  10. 10. Stir the marzipan and chopped almonds with the remaining milk into the other half of the batter.
  11. 11. Pour the cherry batter half into a greased bundt pan (26–28 cm diameter).
  12. 12. Spread the marzipan batter half on top.
  13. 13. Bake the bundt cake for about 50 minutes until it is light brown.
  14. 14. Remove the cake and let it cool on a wire rack.
  15. 15. Turn the bundt cake out of the pan.
  16. 16. Dust the cake with powdered sugar before serving.
