- 1. Preheat your oven to 200 degrees Celsius. Set the heating mode to top and bottom heat.
- 2. Take a sharp knife and cut a small cross into the shell of each individual chestnut.
- 3. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
- 4. Spread the chestnuts evenly on the prepared tray.
- 5. Fill a heatproof bowl with water.
- 6. Place the water bowl in the center of the baking tray next to the chestnuts.
- 7. Slide the tray into the preheated oven.
- 8. Bake the chestnuts for about 25 to 30 minutes.
- 9. Take the tray out of the oven.
- 10. Open the oven door slightly and let the chestnuts cool down in there for a short while.
