🍰 Marble Muffins with Chocolate Drizzle

Ingredients
- butter 150 g
- sugar 100 g
- vanilla sugar 1 packet
- salt pinch
- eggs 3 pcs.
- milk 100 ml
- wheat flour, Type 405 200 g
- baking powder 0.5 packet
- cocoa powder 2 tbsp
- chocolate, dark 100 g
- hazelnut kernels, chopped and roasted 4 tbsp
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 170 degrees Celsius with fan (convection).
- 2. Mix soft butter, sugar, vanilla sugar, and a pinch of salt in a bowl with a hand mixer until the mixture is creamy and fluffy.
- 3. Add eggs and milk and mix everything for about two minutes.
- 4. Gently fold flour and baking powder into the batter with a spoon.
- 5. Divide the batter evenly into two separate bowls.
- 6. Stir cocoa powder into half of the batter until it is dark.
- 7. Grease the cups of a muffin tin or line them with baking cups.
- 8. Alternately add one tablespoon of light batter and one tablespoon of dark batter into the cups.
- 9. Fill the cups about two-thirds full.
- 10. Stab the batter several times with a wooden skewer to create a marble pattern.
- 11. Bake the muffins in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown.
- 12. Let the muffins cool down and remove them from the tin.
- 13. Chop chocolate roughly and place it in a heatproof bowl.
- 14. Bring about 200 milliliters of water to a boil in a pot.
- 15. Place the bowl with chocolate on top of the pot, ensuring it does not touch the hot water.
- 16. Melt the chocolate over the hot steam (bain-marie).
- 17. Drizzle the melted chocolate over the cooled muffins.
- 18. Sprinkle the muffins with chopped hazelnuts.
