  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 170 degrees Celsius fan-assisted.
  2. 2. Add the eggs, soft butter, sugar, vanilla sugar, and salt to a large mixing bowl.
  3. 3. Beat the ingredients with a mixer on speed 4 for two minutes until frothy.
  4. 4. Add 100 milliliters of milk, the flour, and the baking powder to the mixture.
  5. 5. Stir everything on speed 1 for 30 seconds until the batter is smooth.
  6. 6. Grease a cake tin and dust it lightly with flour.
  7. 7. Pour three quarters of the light batter into the prepared tin.
  8. 8. Stir the remaining milk and cocoa powder into the leftover batter.
  9. 9. Add the dark batter to the tin.
  10. 10. Gently fold the batters together with a fork to create the marble effect.
  11. 11. Bake the cake for about 45 minutes.
  12. 12. Let the cake cool down slightly in the tin or on the tray.
  13. 13. Carefully turn the cake out onto a wire rack.
  14. 14. Let the cake cool down completely.
  15. 15. Dust the cooled cake with powdered sugar.
  16. 16. Serve the cake and enjoy.
