  1. 1. Rinse the pork steaks, pat them dry with a kitchen towel, and slice them into thin strips. Peel the onion and garlic, chop them finely, and mix them together with 4 tbsp soy sauce and the cornstarch. Set the meat aside to marinate.
  2. 2. Bring the rice to a boil in about 700 ml of salted water and cook it over low heat for around 15 minutes. Wash the spinach and let it drain. Peel the ginger and chop it finely. Take the meat out of the marinade and let it drain, catching the marinade in the process.
  3. 3. Heat the oil in a wok or a large pan over high temperature, and sear the meat together with the ginger vigorously for about 4–5 minutes. Deglaze with the remaining soy sauce and the marinade, and let it reduce for approx. 2–3 minutes.
  4. 4. Add the spinach leaves to the meat and let them wilt together for about 2 minutes. Plate the meat together with the rice and serve. Enjoy your meal!
