🍽️ Mustard Pears with Mozzarella

Ingredients
- Pears 500 g
- Lemons 1 pcs
- Sugar 110 g
- Balsamic vinegar, light 3 tbsp
- Mustard 1 tsp
- Salt pinch
- Pepper, black ground pinch
- Basil, fresh 20 g
- Mint, fresh 20 g
- Mozzarella 2 pcs
- Olive oil 2 tbsp
Instructions
- 1. Wash the pears thoroughly.
- 2. Cut the pears into quarters and remove the core.
- 3. Cut the flesh into small cubes.
- 4. Wash the lemon.
- 5. Grate the lemon peel (this yields about one teaspoon).
- 6. Cut the lemon in half.
- 7. Squeeze the juice from the lemon.
- 8. Place the pear cubes in a bowl.
- 9. Add one tablespoon of sugar.
- 10. Add the grated lemon peel.
- 11. Add two tablespoons of lemon juice.
- 12. Mix everything well together.
- 13. Put 100 grams of sugar into a pot.
- 14. Add 100 milliliters of water.
- 15. Bring the mixture to a boil.
- 16. Let the liquid cool down.
- 17. Add the pear juice to the cooled liquid.
- 18. Add vinegar.
- 19. Add mustard.
- 20. Season the marinade with salt and pepper.
- 21. Add the marinated pear cubes to the marinade.
- 22. Let the pears marinate.
- 23. Wash the herbs.
- 24. Pluck the leaves from the stems.
- 25. Chop the herbs finely.
- 26. Pat the mozzarella dry with a kitchen towel.
- 27. Break the mozzarella into coarse pieces.
- 28. Place the mozzarella in a bowl.
- 29. Add olive oil.
- 30. Add the chopped herbs.
- 31. Mix the mozzarella with the oil and herbs.
- 32. Plate the marinated pears.
- 33. Add the mozzarella.
