🍽️ Quick Marinated Mushrooms

Ingredients
- mushrooms, white 750 g
- onions, red 2 pcs.
- garlic cloves 3 pcs.
- olive oil 8 tbsp
- salt pinch
- pepper, black ground pinch
- port wine 50 ml
- balsamic vinegar, light 1 tsp
- serrano ham 100 g
Instructions
- 1. Clean the mushrooms with a kitchen towel if necessary.
- 2. Cut large mushrooms in half or quarters.
- 3. Halve the onions, peel them, and slice them into thin strips.
- 4. Peel the garlic and slice it thinly.
- 5. Heat 6 tablespoons of oil in a pan over medium heat.
- 6. Fry the garlic in the hot oil for 2 to 3 minutes.
- 7. Remove the garlic from the pan and set it aside.
- 8. Fry the mushrooms in the remaining garlic oil for about 15 minutes, turning them around.
- 9. Season the mushrooms with salt and pepper while frying.
- 10. Add the onion strips to the pan for the last 3 to 5 minutes of frying.
- 11. Deglaze the pan with port wine and vinegar.
- 12. Adjust the seasoning to taste with salt and pepper.
- 13. Transfer the mushrooms and onions into a bowl.
- 14. Stir in the reserved garlic and the remaining oil.
- 15. Let the mixture cool down.
- 16. Cover the bowl and let the mushrooms marinate for 1 to 2 hours.
- 17. Adjust the taste of the marinated mushrooms with extra port wine and vinegar if desired.
- 18. Serve the mushrooms topped with shredded ham.
