🍽️ Fresh homemade marinara sauce

Ingredients
- onions, yellow 1 pc.
- garlic cloves 4 pc.
- olive oil 2 tbsp
- tomato paste 4 tbsp
- tomatoes, chopped 800 g
- oregano, dried 1 tbsp
- salt pinch
- pepper, black ground pinch
Instructions
- 1. Cut the onion in half and peel off the outer skin. Dice the onion into very small cubes.
- 2. Peel the garlic cloves. Dice the garlic finely as well.
- 3. Pour olive oil into a pot and heat it over medium heat.
- 4. Add the diced onions and garlic to the hot oil. Sauté the vegetables for about 2 minutes until they become soft and translucent.
- 5. Stir in the tomato paste and let it roast in the pot for about 3 minutes.
- 6. Add the chopped tomatoes and oregano to the pot.
- 7. Let the sauce simmer for about 20 minutes over medium heat. Stir constantly while doing so.
- 8. Season the finished sauce with salt and pepper to taste.
- 9. Serve the sauce warm with pasta or pizza. Alternatively, you can fill the hot sauce into a clean jar and seal it airtight.
