Ingredients
- Eggs 2 pcs.
- Pickles 2 pcs.
- Chives, fresh 10 g
- Mackerel, smoked 1 pcs.
- Yogurt, plain 4 tbsp
- Salt pinch
- Pepper, black ground pinch
- Rye wholemeal bread, sliced 8 slices
Instructions
- 1. Fill a pot with about one liter of water and bring it to a boil. Cover the pot to retain the heat.
- 2. Carefully place the eggs into the bubbling water. Let them cook hard-boiled for about seven minutes.
- 3. Drain the hot water and immediately rinse the eggs under cold water. This stops the cooking process and makes peeling easier.
- 4. Peel the cooled eggs and cut them into small cubes.
- 5. Dice the pickles into small pieces as well.
- 6. Wash the fresh chives and pat them dry with a kitchen towel.
- 7. Cut the chives into thin rings.
- 8. Take a bowl and mash the mackerel fillet into small pieces using a fork.
- 9. Add the diced eggs, the pickles, and the yogurt to the mackerel in the bowl.
- 10. Mix all ingredients thoroughly until a creamy mixture forms.
- 11. Season the dip to taste with salt and black pepper.
- 12. Spread the finished dip onto your bread slices.
- 13. Garnish the bread slices with the prepared chive rings at the end.
