🍽️ Lemon Chicken with Pasta in White Wine Capers Sauce

Ingredients
- Salt pinch
- Capers 3 tbsp
- Organic lemons 1 pc.
- Basil, fresh 30 g
- Cashew nuts 6 tbsp
- Macaroni 500 g
- Chicken breast fillets 600 g
- Pepper, black ground pinch
- Butter 4 tbsp
- White wine, dry 150 ml
Instructions
- 1. Fill a large pot with approx. 5 liters of water and add salt. Place the pot on the stove and bring the water to a boil.
- 2. Take the capers out of the jar and let them drain well in a sieve.
- 3. Thoroughly wash one whole lemon under running water.
- 4. Cut the lemon in half.
- 5. Squeeze the juice from the first lemon half into a bowl.
- 6. Cut the second lemon half into small quarters.
- 7. Slice the lemon quarters into thin slices.
- 8. Thoroughly wash the fresh basil leaves under cold water.
- 9. Dry the basil leaves with a kitchen towel or a salad spinner.
- 10. Carefully pluck the basil leaves off the tough stems.
- 11. Take the cashew nuts and chop them roughly with a knife.
- 12. Add the macaroni to the boiling salted water.
- 13. Cook the pasta for approx. 10 minutes until al dente (firm to the bite).
- 14. Rinse the chicken meat under cold water.
- 15. Pat the meat dry with kitchen paper.
- 16. Cut the chicken meat into thin strips.
- 17. Season the meat strips with salt and black pepper.
- 18. Take a large frying pan and add butter.
- 19. Set the stove to medium heat and melt the butter in the pan.
- 20. Add the seasoned chicken strips to the hot pan.
- 21. Fry the chicken for approx. 4 minutes until golden brown.
- 22. Deglaze the meat with white wine by pouring the liquid over the pan.
- 23. Add the drained capers to the pan.
- 24. Add the fresh basil leaves to the pan.
- 25. Add the lemon slices to the pan.
- 26. Let the sauce simmer gently for approx. 2 minutes.
- 27. Pour the cooked macaroni into a sieve to drain the water.
- 28. Place the macaroni onto the serving plates.
- 29. Taste the white wine sauce with chicken again and adjust with salt, pepper, and the squeezed lemon juice.
- 30. Pour the hot sauce with the chicken over the pasta on the plates.
- 31. Sprinkle the chopped cashew nuts over the dish as decoration.
- 32. Serve the food immediately and enjoy your meal!
