  1. 1. Fill a large pot with approx. 5 liters of water and add salt. Place the pot on the stove and bring the water to a boil.
  2. 2. Take the capers out of the jar and let them drain well in a sieve.
  3. 3. Thoroughly wash one whole lemon under running water.
  4. 4. Cut the lemon in half.
  5. 5. Squeeze the juice from the first lemon half into a bowl.
  6. 6. Cut the second lemon half into small quarters.
  7. 7. Slice the lemon quarters into thin slices.
  8. 8. Thoroughly wash the fresh basil leaves under cold water.
  9. 9. Dry the basil leaves with a kitchen towel or a salad spinner.
  10. 10. Carefully pluck the basil leaves off the tough stems.
  11. 11. Take the cashew nuts and chop them roughly with a knife.
  12. 12. Add the macaroni to the boiling salted water.
  13. 13. Cook the pasta for approx. 10 minutes until al dente (firm to the bite).
  14. 14. Rinse the chicken meat under cold water.
  15. 15. Pat the meat dry with kitchen paper.
  16. 16. Cut the chicken meat into thin strips.
  17. 17. Season the meat strips with salt and black pepper.
  18. 18. Take a large frying pan and add butter.
  19. 19. Set the stove to medium heat and melt the butter in the pan.
  20. 20. Add the seasoned chicken strips to the hot pan.
  21. 21. Fry the chicken for approx. 4 minutes until golden brown.
  22. 22. Deglaze the meat with white wine by pouring the liquid over the pan.
  23. 23. Add the drained capers to the pan.
  24. 24. Add the fresh basil leaves to the pan.
  25. 25. Add the lemon slices to the pan.
  26. 26. Let the sauce simmer gently for approx. 2 minutes.
  27. 27. Pour the cooked macaroni into a sieve to drain the water.
  28. 28. Place the macaroni onto the serving plates.
  29. 29. Taste the white wine sauce with chicken again and adjust with salt, pepper, and the squeezed lemon juice.
  30. 30. Pour the hot sauce with the chicken over the pasta on the plates.
  31. 31. Sprinkle the chopped cashew nuts over the dish as decoration.
  32. 32. Serve the food immediately and enjoy your meal!
