🍽️ Creamy Macaroni with Turkey Strips and Broccoli

Ingredients
- Salt 1 tbsp
- Broccoli 1 pc
- parmesan 20 g
- Turkey breast fillet 600 g
- Oil 1 tbsp
- Onions, red 1 pc
- Macaroni 500 g
- Butter 2 tbsp
- Wheat flour, Type 405 2 tbsp
- Milk 150 ml
- Pepper, black ground pinch
- Herbs of Provence, dried 1 tsp
- Sugar pinch
Instructions
- 1. Bring four liters of salted water to a boil in a large pot.
- 2. Wash the broccoli thoroughly and separate the florets from the stem.
- 3. Peel the broccoli stem, remove woody parts, and cut it into small cubes.
- 4. Grate the Parmesan finely and set it aside.
- 5. Halve the onion, peel it, and dice it finely.
- 6. Rinse the turkey breast and pat it dry with kitchen paper.
- 7. Cut the meat into thin strips.
- 8. Heat oil in a frying pan over high heat.
- 9. Fry the turkey strips on all sides for about four minutes.
- 10. Season the meat to taste.
- 11. Remove the meat from the pan and place it on a plate.
- 12. Leave the pan with the frying fat in place and do not clean it.
- 13. Add the macaroni to the boiling salted water.
- 14. Cook the pasta over medium heat for about ten minutes.
- 15. Add the broccoli to the pasta water after six minutes of cooking time.
- 16. Cook the pasta and broccoli together until they are al dente.
- 17. Melt the butter in the frying fat of the pan over medium heat.
- 18. Add the diced onion to the pan.
- 19. Fry the onions for about two minutes.
- 20. Sprinkle the flour over the onions and stir it in.
- 21. Continue stirring until the butter and flour form a homogeneous paste.
- 22. Slowly pour the milk into the pan while stirring.
- 23. Add two ladles of the pasta cooking water to the sauce.
- 24. Bring the sauce to a boil.
- 25. Let the sauce simmer for about four minutes over low heat.
- 26. Drain the macaroni and broccoli.
- 27. Add the drained vegetables and the meat to the sauce.
- 28. Mix everything well together.
- 29. Season the sauce with salt, pepper, Herbs de Provence, and sugar.
- 30. Plate the macaroni with turkey and the sauce.
- 31. Sprinkle the dish with the grated Parmesan.
