  1. 1. Put flour, 100 g powdered sugar, ground hazelnuts, vanilla sugar, and a pinch of salt into a bowl.
  2. 2. Mix the dry ingredients for 10 seconds on speed 2.
  3. 3. Add cold cubed butter and one egg.
  4. 4. Knead the dough for 3 minutes on the kneading setting until it is homogeneous.
  5. 5. Take the dough out of the bowl.
  6. 6. Wrap the dough in cling film.
  7. 7. Let the dough rest in the refrigerator for about 2 hours.
  8. 8. Preheat the oven to 180 °C.
  9. 9. Dust the work surface with flour.
  10. 10. Roll out the dough on the floured surface.
  11. 11. Cut out cookies in the desired shape using a cookie cutter.
  12. 12. Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
  13. 13. Cut the remaining dough scraps into thin strips using a pastry wheel.
  14. 14. Put some jam on each cookie.
  15. 15. Decorate the cookies with the dough strips.
  16. 16. Bake the cookies in the oven for about 10 minutes until golden brown.
  17. 17. Let the Linzer cookies cool down completely.
  18. 18. Dust the cooled cookies with powdered sugar.
  19. 19. Store the cookies in an airtight container.
