  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius with fan setting.
  2. 2. Add butter, sugar, flour, baking powder, hazelnuts, salt, and cinnamon to a bowl.
  3. 3. Mix the ingredients and knead the dough thoroughly.
  4. 4. Place the dough in the refrigerator for about 1 hour.
  5. 5. Dust a work surface with flour and roll out the dough to about 3 millimeters thick.
  6. 6. Cut out 5-centimeter circles from the dough.
  7. 7. Take half of the cookies and cut out small stars from the center.
  8. 8. Place the cookies on baking sheets lined with parchment paper.
  9. 9. Bake the cookies one after another in the oven for 10 to 12 minutes.
  10. 10. Remove the cookies when they are crunchy.
  11. 11. Spread jam onto the lukewarm cookies.
  12. 12. Place the star-cutout cookies on top.
  13. 13. Let the cookies cool down completely.
  14. 14. Dust the finished cookies with powdered sugar.
  15. 15. Serve the Linzer cookies and enjoy them.
