  1. 1. Fill a large pot with about 3 liters of water and add salt.
  2. 2. Thoroughly wash the asparagus under running water.
  3. 3. Keep the white asparagus whole.
  4. 4. Peel the bottom third of the green asparagus and remove the woody ends.
  5. 5. Bring the salted water to a boil.
  6. 6. Add the white asparagus to the boiling water and cook for approx. 15 minutes.
  7. 7. Add the green asparagus in the last 8 minutes.
  8. 8. Wash the tomatoes and cut them into quarters.
  9. 9. Rinse the dill and shake it dry.
  10. 10. Pluck off the fine dill tips and chop them roughly.
  11. 11. Mix oil and vinegar well together in a bowl.
  12. 12. Season the mixture with pepper, salt, and sugar.
  13. 13. Remove the asparagus from the cooking water.
  14. 14. Rinse the asparagus with cold water and let it drain well.
  15. 15. Cut the asparagus stalks into thirds.
  16. 16. Mix the asparagus with the chopped dill and the dressing.
  17. 17. Arrange the salad on a platter.
  18. 18. Sprinkle the tomato quarters over it.
  19. 19. Serve the salad with baguette.
