🍽️ Crispy Pretzel Bread Fritters

Ingredients
- Pretzel rolls 2 pcs
- Milk 70 ml
- Onions, yellow 1 pc
- Bacon belly 50 g
- Parsley, fresh 1 bunch
- Ghee 2 tbsp
- Eggs 2 pcs
- Breadcrumbs 1 tbsp
- Salt pinch
- Pepper, black ground pinch
Instructions
- 1. Cut the dry pretzel rolls into small cubes.
- 2. Warm the milk in a pot over medium heat.
- 3. Place the pretzel cubes and the hot milk into a bowl.
- 4. Let the mixture soak for about 20 minutes.
- 5. Halve the onions and peel off the skin.
- 6. Dice the onions into fine pieces.
- 7. Dice the belly bacon if you have some.
- 8. Wash the parsley and shake off excess water.
- 9. Strip the parsley leaves from the stems.
- 10. Heat 1 tablespoon of ghee in a frying pan over medium heat.
- 11. Fry the onions and belly bacon until golden brown.
- 12. Add the fried mixture to the soaked pretzel cubes.
- 13. Wipe the pan clean with a kitchen paper towel.
- 14. Add the eggs, breadcrumbs, parsley, salt, and pepper to the pretzel cubes.
- 15. Mix all ingredients thoroughly.
- 16. Shape the mixture into uniform patties using your hands.
- 17. Heat the remaining ghee in the same pan over high heat.
- 18. Fry the pretzel patties for about 2 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- 19. Serve the finished pretzel patties on plates.
