Ingredients
- Marzipan base 125 g
- butter 275 g
- Sugar 125 g
- Salt Pinch
- Eggs 2 pcs
- Wheat flour, Type 405 250 g
- Baking powder 2 tsp
- Milk 100 ml
- Powdered sugar 150 g
- Sugar pearls 100 g
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius with fan.
- 2. Grate the marzipan coarsely into a bowl.
- 3. Add 125 grams of butter, sugar, and salt.
- 4. Beat the mixture with a hand mixer and whisk until very creamy.
- 5. Stir in the eggs one by one.
- 6. Mix flour and baking powder in a separate bowl.
- 7. Briefly fold the flour mixture into the batter using some milk.
- 8. Pour the batter into a greased rectangular loaf pan.
- 9. Smooth the surface of the batter.
- 10. Bake the cake for about 60 minutes.
- 11. Loosely cover the cake with aluminum foil at the end of the baking time if it is getting too dark.
- 12. Let the cake cool on a wire rack.
- 13. Turn the cake out of the pan.
- 14. Beat 150 grams of butter in a bowl until creamy.
- 15. Sift 150 grams of powdered sugar in gradually.
- 16. Spread the butter icing evenly over the cake.
- 17. Place the cake in the refrigerator for about 1 hour.
- 18. Cut out a neck from the cake using a cup.
- 19. Cut out legs at the bottom of the cake.
- 20. Cut out sleeves from the top corners.
- 21. Sprinkle the cake with sugar pearls.
- 22. Serve the cake.
