🍳 Crispy Tomato Bread

Ingredients
- Vine tomatoes 400 g
- Farmhouse mild bread 4 slices
- Thyme, fresh 15 g
- Garlic cloves 1 pc.
- Sea salt pinch
- Pepper, black ground pinch
- Olive oil 3 tbsp
- Hard cheese, grated 60 g
Instructions
- 1. Bring about 1 liter of water to a boil in a pot.
- 2. Make a cross-shaped cut on the bottom of the tomatoes.
- 3. Pour the boiling water over the tomatoes in a bowl.
- 4. Let the tomatoes sit in the hot water for 1 to 2 minutes.
- 5. Drain the hot water and rinse the tomatoes with cold water.
- 6. Peel the skin off the tomatoes.
- 7. Remove the hard stem from the top of the tomato.
- 8. Cut the tomatoes into quarters.
- 9. Roughly crush the tomato pieces with your hands or a spoon.
- 10. Toast the bread slices in the toaster until golden brown.
- 11. Wash the thyme thoroughly under running water.
- 12. Shake the thyme dry.
- 13. Pluck the thyme leaves off the stems.
- 14. Peel the garlic clove.
- 15. Cut the garlic clove in half.
- 16. Rub the toasted bread slices vigorously with the cut side of the garlic.
- 17. Distribute the crushed tomatoes evenly over the bread slices.
- 18. Sprinkle the thyme leaves over the bread.
- 19. Season everything with salt and pepper.
- 20. Drizzle some olive oil over the topped bread slices.
- 21. Sprinkle the grated cheese over the top.
- 22. Serve the crispy tomato bread immediately.
