🍽️ Pasta Salad with Cooked Ham and Fresh Pesto

Ingredients
- Salt 1 tbsp
- Garlic cloves 1 pcs
- Parmesan 50 g
- Basil, fresh 25 g
- Arugula 200 g
- Cherry tomatoes 250 g
- Salad cucumbers 1 pcs
- Boiled ham 100 g
- Kritharaki pasta 500 g
- Sunflower seeds 2 tbsp
- Olive oil 2 tbsp
- Pepper, black ground Pinch
- Vinegar 1 tsp
- Sugar Pinch
Instructions
- 1. Fill a large pot with about 3 liters of water and add plenty of salt. Place the pot on the stove and bring the water to a boil.
- 2. Peel the garlic cloves and chop them roughly.
- 3. Grate the Parmesan roughly.
- 4. Wash the basil and dry the leaves thoroughly.
- 5. Remove the thick stems from the basil.
- 6. Wash the arugula and spin it dry.
- 7. Thoroughly rinse the tomatoes and the cucumber.
- 8. Cut the cucumber in half crosswise.
- 9. Cut the cucumber halves into small cubes.
- 10. Halve the tomatoes.
- 11. Cut the cooked ham into small pieces.
- 12. Add the Kritharaki pasta to the boiling salted water.
- 13. Cook the pasta for about 10 minutes.
- 14. Take a tall container.
- 15. Add the chopped garlic to the container.
- 16. Add the grated Parmesan to the container.
- 17. Add the basil to the container.
- 18. Add a handful of arugula to the container.
- 19. Add sunflower seeds to the container.
- 20. Add olive oil to the container.
- 21. Blend the ingredients with a hand blender until creamy.
- 22. Season the pesto with salt and pepper.
- 23. Drain the cooked Kritharaki pasta.
- 24. Rinse the pasta in a colander with cold water.
- 25. Take a large bowl.
- 26. Add the cooled Kritharaki pasta to the bowl.
- 27. Add the cucumber cubes to the bowl.
- 28. Add the tomatoes to the bowl.
- 29. Add the cooked ham pieces to the bowl.
- 30. Add the remaining arugula to the bowl.
- 31. Mix all ingredients in the bowl.
- 32. Season the salad with vinegar.
- 33. Season the salad with salt.
- 34. Season the salad with pepper.
- 35. Add a pinch of sugar to the salad.
- 36. Plate the salad.
- 37. Distribute the pesto evenly over the salad.
- 38. Serve the salad with cooked ham and homemade pesto.
