  1. 1. Finely chop the tough stems of the herbs (such as parsley, dill, or basil).
  2. 2. Place the chopped stems and the oil into a tall container.
  3. 3. Blend the mixture with a hand blender until it is very fine and smooth.
  4. 4. Let the oil stand for about 30 minutes so that the herb particles settle at the bottom.
  5. 5. Pour the oil through a very fine sieve or a clean cloth to remove any remaining solids.
  6. 6. Pour the clear green oil into a bottle and store it until you are ready to serve.
