  1. 1. Rinse the herbs under running water and pat them dry with a kitchen towel.
  2. 2. Remove the thick stems from the herbs.
  3. 3. Peel the garlic clove.
  4. 4. Rinse the lemon under hot water.
  5. 5. Finely grate about one teaspoon of the orange zest from the lemon.
  6. 6. Cut the lemon in half.
  7. 7. Squeeze the juice from the lemon.
  8. 8. Place the herbs, garlic, lemon zest, and one tablespoon of lemon juice into the mixing container.
  9. 9. Puree the ingredients for five seconds on the highest speed (turbo setting).
  10. 10. Push the mixture down from the sides of the container using a spatula.
  11. 11. Add the soft butter, salt, and pepper.
  12. 12. Mix everything for twenty seconds on level four.
  13. 13. Taste the butter at the end and adjust the seasoning if necessary.
  14. 14. Transfer the finished herb butter into a suitable container.
  15. 15. Store the butter in the refrigerator until you are ready to serve it.
