  1. 1. Thoroughly wash the rosemary under running water.
  2. 2. Dry the herb with a kitchen towel.
  3. 3. Strip the needles from the rosemary stems and chop them coarsely.
  4. 4. Also wash the parsley thoroughly.
  5. 5. Dry the parsley.
  6. 6. Pluck the leaves from the stems.
  7. 7. Chop the parsley leaves finely.
  8. 8. Dissolve the yeast in lukewarm water.
  9. 9. Stir in the sugar.
  10. 10. Let the mixture rest covered for about 10 minutes.
  11. 11. Add the flour to the bowl.
  12. 12. Add the salt.
  13. 13. Add the chopped parsley.
  14. 14. Add half of the chopped rosemary.
  15. 15. Sprinkle in the marjoram.
  16. 16. Add the oil.
  17. 17. Knead everything into a smooth dough.
  18. 18. Cover the dough.
  19. 19. Let the dough rise in a warm place for about 1 hour.
  20. 20. Wait until the volume of the dough has doubled.
  21. 21. Divide the dough into 4 equal parts.
  22. 22. Dust the work surface with a little flour.
  23. 23. Shape each part into a stick.
  24. 24. Place the sticks on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
  25. 25. Cover the sticks.
  26. 26. Let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  27. 27. Preheat the oven to 200 °C top/bottom heat.
  28. 28. Brush the sticks with a little water.
  29. 29. Sprinkle salt over the sticks.
  30. 30. Sprinkle the remaining rosemary over them.
  31. 31. Bake the sticks in the oven for about 20 to 25 minutes.
  32. 32. Let the herb bread sticks cool down completely.
