  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 250 degrees Celsius using top and bottom heat.
  2. 2. Wash the bell peppers thoroughly.
  3. 3. Cut the bell peppers into quarters.
  4. 4. Remove the tough stem and seeds from the pepper quarters.
  5. 5. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
  6. 6. Place the pepper quarters on the tray with the skin side facing up.
  7. 7. Slide the tray onto the top rack of the oven.
  8. 8. Bake the peppers for about 8 minutes.
  9. 9. Remove the peppers as soon as they have dark, charred spots on the skin.
  10. 10. Peel the onion.
  11. 11. Finely chop the onion.
  12. 12. Wash the parsley.
  13. 13. Shake the parsley dry.
  14. 14. Pluck the parsley leaves from the stems.
  15. 15. Chop the parsley leaves finely.
  16. 16. Let the baked peppers cool down.
  17. 17. Reduce the oven temperature to 180 degrees Celsius with hot air circulation.
  18. 18. Take half of the chopped onion into a bowl.
  19. 19. Take half of the chopped parsley into the same bowl.
  20. 20. Add the minced meat to the bowl.

  23. 23. Mix all ingredients in the bowl thoroughly.
  24. 24. Form small meatballs with a diameter of about 3 centimeters.

  26. 26. Slide the tray onto the middle rack of the oven.
  27. 27. Bake the meatballs for approx. 15 minutes.
  28. 28. Peel the charred skin off the cooled pepper quarters.
  29. 29. Place the peeled peppers in a pot.
  30. 30. Add the tomato paste to the pot.
  31. 31. Add the remaining chopped onion to the pot.
  32. 32. Add the remaining parsley to the pot.
  33. 33. Add the honey to the pot.
  34. 34. Puree all ingredients in the pot into a sauce.
  35. 35. Warm the pepper sauce over low to medium heat.
  36. 36. Season the sauce with salt.

  38. 38. Season the sauce with sugar.
  39. 39. Wash the tomatoes.
  40. 40. Wash the cucumbers.
  41. 41. Remove the stems from the tomatoes.
  42. 42. Cut the tomatoes into about 6 to 8 wedges.
  43. 43. Dice the cucumbers into pieces of approx. 1 centimeter.
  44. 44. Put the tomatoes and cucumbers into a bowl.
  45. 45. Drizzle the olive oil over the salad.
  46. 46. Add the balsamic vinegar to the salad.
  47. 47. Season the salad with salt.
  48. 48. Season the salad with pepper.
  49. 49. Season the salad with sugar.
  50. 50. Mix the salad thoroughly.
  51. 51. Take the meatballs out of the oven.
  52. 52. Plate the meatballs.
  53. 53. Add the pepper sauce to the meatballs.
  54. 54. Add the Balkan salad to the plates.
