🍽️ Kohlrabi lasagna with mustard cream

Ingredients
- Salt Pinch
- Kohlrabi 4 pcs
- Onions, yellow 1 pc
- Garlic cloves 1 pc
- Oil 2 tbsp
- White wine, dry 100 ml
- Tomatoes, chopped 800 g
- Pepper, black ground Pinch
- Sugar Pinch
- Herbs of Provence, dried Pinch
- Cream cheese, plain 150 g
- Mustard 3 tsp
- Milk 75 ml
- Gouda, grated 200 g
- Lasagna sheets 12 pcs
- Basil, fresh 15 g
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius with fan.
- 2. Bring three liters of salted water to a boil in a pot.
- 3. Peel the kohlrabi and remove the hard, woody parts.
- 4. Slice the kohlrabi into thin slices or use a grater.
- 5. Halve the onion, peel it, and dice it finely.
- 6. Peel the garlic and chop it finely.
- 7. Add the kohlrabi slices to the boiling salted water for three minutes.
- 8. Drain the kohlrabi in a colander.
- 9. Heat oil in a pot over high heat.
- 10. Sauté the onions and garlic for two minutes.
- 11. Deglaze the pan with wine and let it boil briefly.
- 12. Add the tomatoes to the pan.
- 13. Season the sauce with salt, pepper, sugar, and herbs de Provence.
- 14. Simmer the sauce covered for ten minutes.
- 15. Taste the sauce and adjust seasoning if needed.
- 16. Mix cream cheese, mustard, milk, and half of the cheese in a bowl.
- 17. Season the mustard cream with salt and pepper.
- 18. Place a ladle of tomato sauce in a baking dish.
- 19. Place three lasagna sheets on the sauce.
- 20. Distribute some kohlrabi slices on the sheets.
- 21. Add a spoonful of mustard cream on top.
- 22. Sprinkle some cheese over the layer.
- 23. Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients.
- 24. Finish the lasagna with mustard cream and the remaining cheese.
- 25. Bake the lasagna for about 40 minutes in the oven until golden brown.
- 26. Wash the basil and shake it dry.
- 27. Pluck the basil leaves from the stems.
- 28. Remove the lasagna from the oven and let it cool slightly.
- 29. Serve the lasagna sprinkled with fresh basil.
