🍽️ Kohlrabi Frittata with Herb Salad

Ingredients
- kohlrabi 600 g
- butter 1 tbsp
- Bacon strips 125 g
- Spring onions 1 bunch
- Eggs 8 pcs
- Milk 5 tbsp
- Lemons 1 pcs
- Salt pinch
- Pepper, black ground pinch
- Parsley, fresh 15 g
- Dill, fresh 15 g
- Cress bed 1 pcs
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Use the top and bottom heat setting or the grill function.
- 2. Peel the kohlrabi.
- 3. Cut the kohlrabi into sticks about 1 centimeter thick.
- 4. Melt the butter in a pan over medium heat.
- 5. Fry the kohlrabi in the butter for about 4 minutes.
- 6. Add the bacon to the pan.
- 7. Fry the bacon for another 4 minutes.
- 8. Wash the spring onions thoroughly.
- 9. Dry the spring onions.
- 10. Cut the spring onions into thin rings.
- 11. Set aside about 1 tablespoon of the spring onions for the salad.
- 12. Put the eggs, milk, and the rest of the spring onions into a bowl.
- 13. Season the mixture with salt and pepper.
- 14. Whisk the ingredients well together.
- 15. Pour the egg mixture into the pan with the kohlrabi and bacon.
- 16. Place a lid on the pan.
- 17. Let the frittata set for about 4 minutes.
- 18. Place the pan in the oven.
- 19. Bake the frittata for another 4 minutes.
- 20. Check if the egg is firm.
- 21. Halve the lemon.
- 22. Squeeze the juice from the lemon.
- 23. Rinse the parsley and dill.
- 24. Dry the herbs.
- 25. Pluck the leaves from the herbs.
- 26. Put the herbs, the remaining spring onions, and the cress into a bowl.
- 27. Mix the salad ingredients with 1 tablespoon of lemon juice.
- 28. Take the frittata out of the oven carefully.
- 29. Cut the frittata into pieces.
- 30. Plate the frittata.
- 31. Serve the frittata together with the herb salad.
