Ingredients

Instructions

  1. 1. Wash, peel, quarter the potatoes, and place them in a pot covered with salted water. Bring to a boil, then simmer covered for about 20 minutes until tender.
  2. 2. Halve, peel, and finely chop the onion. In a bowl, combine the ground meat with the onion, egg, breadcrumbs, salt, and pepper. Shape the mixture into meatballs about 3 cm thick.
  3. 3. In a pot, prepare the broth if necessary and bring it to a boil. Add the meatballs to the broth and cook for about 15 minutes, ensuring the broth only simmers gently. Then remove the meatballs from the broth and set aside.
  4. 4. In a bowl, mix the starch with cold water, then stir it into the broth and bring to a boil for about 3 minutes. Drain the capers and add them along with the crème fraîche to the hot broth. Season with salt, pepper, and sugar, then return the meatballs to the broth.
  5. 5. Drain the potatoes and serve them on plates alongside the Königsberger Klopse. Enjoy your meal!
