Ingredients
- potatoes, mainly waxy 1 kg
- salt pinch
- onions, yellow 1 pc.
- pork mince 600 g
- eggs 1 pc.
- breadcrumbs 80 g
- pepper, black ground pinch
- chicken stock 500 ml
- cornstarch 1 tbsp
- water 4 tbsp
- capers 30 g
- crème fraîche 200 g
- sugar pinch
Instructions
- 1. Wash, peel, quarter the potatoes, and place them in a pot covered with salted water. Bring to a boil, then simmer covered for about 20 minutes until tender.
- 2. Halve, peel, and finely chop the onion. In a bowl, combine the ground meat with the onion, egg, breadcrumbs, salt, and pepper. Shape the mixture into meatballs about 3 cm thick.
- 3. In a pot, prepare the broth if necessary and bring it to a boil. Add the meatballs to the broth and cook for about 15 minutes, ensuring the broth only simmers gently. Then remove the meatballs from the broth and set aside.
- 4. In a bowl, mix the starch with cold water, then stir it into the broth and bring to a boil for about 3 minutes. Drain the capers and add them along with the crème fraîche to the hot broth. Season with salt, pepper, and sugar, then return the meatballs to the broth.
- 5. Drain the potatoes and serve them on plates alongside the Königsberger Klopse. Enjoy your meal!
