🍽️ Köfte with Feta Cream

Ingredients
- onions, yellow 1 pc.
- garlic cloves 2 pc.
- parsley, fresh 40 g
- mint, fresh 40 g
- lemons 1 pc.
- ground beef 600 g
- eggs 1 pc.
- breadcrumbs 2 tbsp
- salt pinch
- pepper, black ground pinch
- cumin pinch
- oil 2 tbsp
- feta 200 g
- yogurt, plain 150 g
Instructions
- 1. Cut the onion in half, peel it, and finely dice it. Peel and chop the garlic. Wash the parsley and mint, shake them dry, pluck the leaves from the stems, and chop them. Wash the lemon, zest about 1 tsp, halve it, and squeeze out the juice.
- 2. In a bowl, combine the minced meat with the onion, egg, breadcrumbs, lemon zest, and half of the garlic, parsley, and mint. Season with salt, pepper, and cumin.
- 3. Form the mixture into rolls about 4 cm long and finger-thick. Heat oil in a pan over high heat and fry the rolls for about 4 minutes until golden brown. Cover the pan and remove it from the heat to let the köfte rest.
- 4. Crumble the feta into a bowl and mix it with yogurt. Stir in the remaining garlic and herbs, and season with lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Serve together with the köfte.
