  1. 1. Cut the Gouda cheese into sticks about 1 centimeter thick.
  2. 2. Wash the chives and slice them into fine rings.
  3. 3. Crack two eggs into a deep plate and whisk them well.
  4. 4. Put breadcrumbs and half of the chives into a second plate.
  5. 5. Season the breadcrumb mixture with salt and one tablespoon of curry powder.
  6. 6. Mix the breadcrumb ingredients well together.
  7. 7. Put the flour into a third plate.
  8. 8. Coat the Gouda sticks first in the flour.
  9. 9. Dip the floured sticks into the whisked eggs.
  10. 10. Gently roll the egg-coated sticks in the breadcrumb mixture.
  11. 11. Make sure the cheese is completely covered by the breadcrumbs.
  12. 12. Heat the frying oil in a pan to about 180 degrees Celsius.
  13. 13. Fry the cheese sticks all around for about 1 minute until golden brown.
  14. 14. Let the finished sticks drain on kitchen paper.
  15. 15. Let the sticks cool down for a few minutes.
  16. 16. Put cranberries, thyme, yogurt, and the remaining curry powder into a small bowl.
  17. 17. Mix the ingredients for the dip well together.
  18. 18. Serve the lukewarm cheese sticks with the cranberry curry dip.
