  1. 1. Peel the garlic cloves and chop them finely.
  2. 2. Rinse the lemon under running water.
  3. 3. Grate about one teaspoon of the lemon zest.
  4. 4. Cut the lemon in half.
  5. 5. Squeeze the juice from the lemon halves.
  6. 6. Rinse the thyme and rosemary under running water.
  7. 7. Shake off the excess water from the herbs.
  8. 8. Strip the leaves from the rosemary and thyme stems.
  9. 9. Chop the stripped herbs finely.
  10. 10. Place the soft butter in a bowl.
  11. 11. Mix the butter with the chopped herbs.
  12. 12. Stir the lemon zest into the butter.
  13. 13. Season the herb butter with salt.
  14. 14. Season the herb butter with pepper.
  15. 15. Add the lemon juice to the herb butter.
  16. 16. Cut the baguettes several times across the top.
  17. 17. Make sure not to cut all the way through the baguettes.
  18. 18. Spread the herb butter into the cuts of the baguettes.
  19. 19. Wrap the baguettes in aluminum foil.
  20. 20. Seal the aluminum foil tightly.
  21. 21. Place the wrapped baguettes on the grill.
  22. 22. Bake the baguettes for about 10 to 15 minutes.
  23. 23. Turn the baguettes regularly during the baking time.
  24. 24. Alternatively, preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
  25. 25. Bake the baguettes in the oven for about 15 minutes.
