🍽️ Classic Red Cabbage with Apple

Ingredients
- Apples, red 1 pc
- Red cabbage, fresh 800 g
- Onions, yellow 1 pc
- Oil 4 tbsp
- Juniper berries 2 pcs
- Vinegar 30 ml
- Red wine, dry 100 ml
- Sugar 2 tsp
- Salt 1 tsp
- Wild lingonberries 2 tbsp
- Cinnamon pinch
Instructions
- 1. Peel the apple, cut it in half, and remove the core.
- 2. Halve the red cabbage, remove the hard stem, and cut the vegetable into coarse pieces.
- 3. Halve the onion and peel it.
- 4. Place the apple pieces in the mixing container and chop them for 4 seconds on speed 5.
- 5. Transfer the chopped apples into a bowl.
- 6. Place half of the cut red cabbage in the mixing container and chop it for 7 seconds on speed 5.
- 7. Transfer the chopped red cabbage to the bowl with the apples.
- 8. Repeat the chopping process with the remaining red cabbage and add it to the bowl as well.
- 9. Place the onion in the mixing container and chop it for 7 seconds on speed 5.
- 10. Use a spatula to push the onion pieces down from the inner wall of the container.
- 11. Add the oil and sauté the onions for 3 minutes on speed 2 at 120 degrees Celsius.
- 12. Add the chopped red cabbage along with the apple, juniper berries, vinegar, red wine, sugar, salt, cranberries, and a pinch of cinnamon to the mixing container.
- 13. Simmer the mixture for 60 minutes on speed 1 at 100 degrees Celsius.
- 14. Season the red cabbage with salt and sugar to taste after the cooking time is finished.
