🍽️ Traditional Homemade Potato Dumplings

Ingredients
- potatoes, mealy-cooking 800 g
- cornstarch 50 g
- fine semolina 70 g
- salt 1 tsp
- eggs 1 pc.
- nutmeg, ground pinch
Instructions
- 1. Wash the potatoes thoroughly under running water.
- 2. Attach the steaming insert to the mixing bowl and place the potatoes inside.
- 3. Pour 900 grams of hot water into the bowl.
- 4. Steam the potatoes for 30 minutes on the steaming setting.
- 5. Remove the steaming insert from the mixing bowl.
- 6. Let the potatoes cool down slightly until you can handle them safely.
- 7. Peel the cooled potatoes.
- 8. Grate the peeled potatoes finely or press them into a fine mash.
- 9. Let the potato mixture cool down completely for about 60 minutes.
- 10. Place the cooled potato mixture, potato starch, fine semolina, 1 teaspoon of salt, 1 egg, and a pinch of nutmeg into the mixing bowl.
- 11. Mix all ingredients for 20 seconds on the dough kneading setting until you have a homogeneous dough.
- 12. Moisten your hands with a little water so the dough does not stick.
- 13. Shape about 8 equal-sized dumplings from the mixture.
- 14. Place the dumplings into the deep steaming insert.
- 15. If the dough is too soft, knead in a little more flour until it is firm enough.
- 16. Fill 800 grams of hot water into the mixing bowl.
- 17. Place the deep steaming insert with the dumplings onto the bowl.
- 18. Close the steamer lid.
- 19. Steam the dumplings for 30 minutes on the steaming setting.
- 20. Remove the finished dumplings and serve them hot.
